What to Watch (Week of 9/19)

Before I get into this week's TV schedule, I want to talk a little bit about last night's award show.

So, of course I watched the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards last night. And though there were some odd moments (umm...who came up with the Emmytones idea?), overall I thought the night went okay. Jane Lynch did a great job in my opinion (though her opening segment was lacking), but her one-liners were hilarious. I'm just going to do a quick run-though of only those I was happy to see win. For a complete list you can check out Emmys 2011: And the Winner Are... - TV.com
-Modern Family really cleaned up with five awards including Best Supporting Actress Comedy - Julie Bowen; Best Supporting Actor Comedy - Ty Burrell; Outstanding Directing for Comedy Series; Outstanding Writing for Comedy Series; Best Comedy Series
-Jim Parsons won Best Actor Comedy for The Big Bang Theory, which I was so happy about. BBT has become one of my favorite sitcoms (along with Modern Family of course).
-Though I don't watch Mike & Molly, I was happy to see Melissa McCarthy take home Best Actress Comedy (and the pageant-like ceremony Amy Poehler kicked-off was hilarious).
-And Kate Winslet seems to be going for the EGOT1 with her win as Best Actress Miniseries/Movie for Mildrid Pierce. All she needs now is the Tony (calling Broadway!).
-Couple other quick notes include: Margo Martindale (Justified) - Best Supporting Actress Drama; Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) - Best Actor Drama; Guy Pearce (Mildred Pierce) - Best Supporting Actor Miniseries/Movie.

In other news, here are my choice for TV I'll be watching this week. I'm so incredibly happy that my weeks a head will be filling up even more!!
