San Diego Comic-Con 2012

I survived my first trip to Comic-Con!

I've been wanting to go to Comic-Con for years, but living in Michigan and the costs being so high, I wasn't sure when I would get the chance. I was so thankful to be able to go to Comic-Con this year for my work, but on my off days, I was able to attend some great panels of my favorite TV shows.

Wow. What an intense experience. So many people! I had the worst time trying to get cell phone service everyone was using it up! I also probably only slept a total of 5 hours for the 4 days I was there. I even spent the night outside in line on Saturday night to ensure a spot in Hall H Sunday morning - you'll see why below.

I took a few notes from some of the panels I was able to attend (similar to as I did for PaleyFest). For a lot of the Warner Bros. shows, this year you can watch the full panels online at www.thewb.com, or of course catch snippets on YouTube that people recorded. I've included a few of my own videos and pics too.
You can view the pictures by clicking here

Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend any extra panels on Thursday because I had to get ready for a panel we were putting on with my work that evening. There were only a couple panels I would have liked to go to, but it didn't break my heart to miss them.

Friday, July 13th - I stayed the whole day in Ballroom 20, and here was what was on the schedule.

Community: School is Back in Session - Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Allison Brie.
I've only seen the pilot, but the cast was really fun at the panel, and their montage videos were hilarious.
Join the Revolution! Nickelodeon's Legend of Korra - Bryan Konietzko, Mike DiMartino, Joaquim Dos Santos, Janet Varney, David Faustino, P.J. Byrne, Seychelle Gabriel, and Andrea Romano.
I don't watch the show, but a fun part of the panel was a live table-reading of a script.
Firefly 10-Year Anniversary - Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, Gina Torres (unable to attend), Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin (unable to attend), Sean Maher, Summer Glau.
This was a fantastic panel! There was laughter and tears - especially from the panelists. Made me want to re-watch the whole series right then and there. Nathan Fillion was so awesome to come out and take pictures with everyone waiting in line overnight on Saturday night and I was lucky to grab a picture with him.
Bones - Hart Hanson (unable to attend), Stephen Nathan, David Boreanaz, and Emily Deschanel.
I was so happy to be able to be at this panel! I was mad at myself for not going to the Bones Paleyfest, so this was one panel I did not want to miss!  Some things learned from the panel:
- It is very unlikely that we will see any flashbacks of the "Bedroom Scene", though it is likely that we might see some in the future.
- The Season 8 premiere will pick up three months later and Booth will be furious with Brennan. Booth will go out and find her on his own, not as an FBI agent.
- This season is going to be a lot darker, and Pelant will stay throughout Season 8.
- Cam will be with someone new, but we already know them, and it will be very surprising.
- David will direct again. David: "It's difficult" / Emily: "It's difficult to work with you." Emily mentioned that she was actually all set to direct last year, but then she got pregnant.
- David: "We need to bring back Buck and Wanda." (Here here!). They will be going undercover again this season (though not sure as who), and it will involve ballroom dancing.
- We will learn more about Booth's family, and specifically his mother.
- As of now, there are no plans for a special 150 episode, though Stephen mentioned it is likely that they might kill someone. They were shocked they were coming close to 150 episodes and Stephen said: "We have to do the math."
- David is asked about his role on Angel and if he would work with Joss Whedon again. He believed Joss wrapped up the finale of Angel perfectly, though would love to work with him again. "If they'd want to make a movie out of it, that'd be fun."
- There was mention of the four "Bonus Episodes" that will be staggered throughout Season 8. One episode is from the point-of-view of the skull.
Arrow Screening and Q&A - Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, and David Nutter.
Was able to watch the pilot episode of the new series, and am definitely looking forward for the rest of the series when it starts up on October on The CW. Some fun tidbits I learned at the panel:
- Stephen was the first person to audition for the part of Oliver Queen.
- There will be some other DC Characters joining the cast and there will be nods to the DC Universe throughout the series - China White will be played by Kelly Hu.
- Stephen: "Who doesn't want to play the superhero on TV? I've always wanted to play the villain, but this is a start."
- How soon will we see Laurel become a woman of action? - "Not as soon as you want, but sooner than you think."
- Yes. The abs in the workout scene are real. It is a must watch even if you aren't sure you want to watch the show. I promise.
Entertainment Weekly: Powerful Women in Pop Culture (aka Women Who Kick Ass!) - Kristin Bauer van Straten, Sarah Wayne Callies, Kristin Kreuk, Nikki Reed, Anna Torv, and Lucy Lawless.
The ladies talk about the power and privilege of playing characters that have redefined the rules for women. Kristin Bauer was fantastic and funny. Nikki Reed seemed to be extremely nervous. Anna Torv is the most lovely person in all the land.

Saturday, July 14th - Again, I stayed the whole day in Ballroom 20, and here was what was on the schedule.

Warehouse 13 - Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, Allison Scagliotti, and Jack Kenny.
Though I've only seen a few episodes of the first season of the show, this panel was a lot of fun. Probably one of my favorite quotes of the weekend was from Saul Rubinek: "I have a twitter, but I don't tweet...I'm a twat."
Once Upon a Time - Edward Kitsis, Adam Horowitz, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parilla, Josh Dallas, Emilie de Ravin, and Meghan Ory.
Seriously guys, Josh Dallas is so beautiful. Okay moving on. One really cool part of the panel was at the beginning we got to see some of the new title cards for the new season which included: Mulan, Sleeping Beauty, Herbie the Lovebug (Emma's bug), and Jack and the Beanstalk. We also got to see an ad for "Singlebrooke" which was all the townspeople creating there online profile videos for a dating site. Jamie Dornan was in it and it made me sad. I so hope he will be back next season. We also got to see a clip from the next season that shows a little bit of Ca****n ***k.
- re: Malificent dying at the end of the season. "I didn't see her body, did you?" "There is magic now is Storybrooke, so..."
- Dr. Whale's fairytale counter part will be revealed this season.
- re: Fairytale land - "We don't know if there is anything to go back to."
- We won't be seeing Emma's foster parents more quiet yet, but maybe in the future. Edward says "I'm more interested in who Henry's father is." - which we will find out this season and "people will be very excited to find out who it is." Adam joked: "It's either someone you've met, or haven't." Jennifer Morrison already knows who the father is.
- We will learn why certain things came over and for what reasons.
- Emilie is asked what co-star from LOST she would like to work with on the show: Terry O'Quinn.
- We will find out what happened to Rumpelstiltskin's son, Baelfire.
- Lana is asked what it's like when people recognize her on the street: "Children do run from me...and so do some adults."
Futurama - Matt Groening, David X. Cohen, Billy West, Katey Sagal, John DiMaggio, and Maurice LaMarche.
The Simpsons - David Mirkin, Matt Groening, Al Jean, Mike Anderson, Yeardley Smith.
I took a break during these panel, so unfortunately I don't have anything to add here. I did get to see the theatrical short for The Simpsons "The Longest Daycare" which was quiet cute.
Family Guy - Seth MacFarlane, Alex Bornstein, Mila Kunis, Seth Green, Mike Henry, Mark Hentemann, and Steve Callaghan.
American Dad - Seth MacFarlane, Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes, Rachael MacFarlane, Dee Bradley Baker, Mike Barket, and Matt Weitzman.
Got to see a sneak peek of the funniest scenes from the upcoming new season of Family Guy.
The Vampire Diaries - Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Michael Trevino, Zach Roerig, Julie Plec, and Kevin Williamson.
I was bummed Joseph Morgan didn't make a surprise visit, and missed Candice Accola, but thankfully I saw her at Paleyfest. Not a lot of spoilers were given for the new season unfortunately. Some highlights were:
- Zach: "I'm proud to be a human!"
- Kevin Williamson asks Paul Wesley about playing the villain:
- Julie: "I think at one point [Ian] had a sit down with Jesus Christ." / Paul: "You're like the guy in the Dos Equis commercials."
- Kevin Williamson asks Ian Somerhalder what's going on with Damon, and where he's going this season:

- Katherine will show her face again when Klaus is no longer a threat.
- re: Matt David coming back at some point - "It's possible."
- We will learn more about Esther and the "big spell" that turned her family into vampires.
- Ian started doing sound effects for fast vampire sex - "See that, vamp sex just happened, and you didn't even know it."
- An audience member asked the panel if they were in the Hunger Games arena, who would they kill and who they would try to save - Ian: "I would just kill 'em all."
True Blood - Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard, Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Nelsan Ellis (unable to attend), Deborah Ann Woll, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Joe Manganiello, Chris Meloni, and Alan Ball.
The audience was shown a trailer of what's to come for the rest of the season, and it looked fantastic!
- According to Stephen, Alexander is the best cuddler because "he's got very long arms."

- Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard talk about Bill and Eric's relationship:
- Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard, and Alan Ball talk about the scene in S5 when Bill and Eric are taken and stuffed in the trunk of the car:

- There was discussion of Pam's wardrobe and of course the Wal-Mart sweatsuit came up. Sam said that his favorite is the red jumpsuit she wore in Season 2.
- Rutina mentioned that her mother was very supportive of her new role on the show. Her mother called her and said, "That bustier was workin' honey!"
- Joe was asked if he gave Rutina lessons on stripping. Joe, Rutina, and Alan all do body rolls - Joe threw money at Alan.

- Chris was asked how True Blood compares to SVU - "It's hard to figure out what's a sex crime on this show."
- We will see more about the Stackhouse parent in dream sequences and flashbacks.
- There will be more "crazy sex scenes" this season, and "all tastes will be satisfied."
- Stephen was asked about directing his first episode - "I got to see Joe naked."
- Alex was asked if he has considered the part of Christian Grey for the 50 Shades of Grey movie - "I haven't read the book and haven't seen the script" / Stephen: "He's just lived the life."
- As of now, no plans for Were-Tiger, John Quinn, to make an appearance.
- Three new romances are going to happen this season.

- Ryan Kwanten does a handstand - I don't remember why, but does that really matter?

Sunday, July 15th - Finally got out of Ballroom 20 and into Hall H. I stayed in line overnight to ensure I would get in to the hall and get a good seat. Why? SUPERNATURAL!

Fringe - Anna Torv, Josh Jackson, Lance Reddick, Blair Brown (unable to attend), Jasika Nicole, John Noble, and J.H. Wyman.
I must confess that I had only seen a few episodes of the first season when it first aired. I began to see my mistake earlier this year when there was a ton of chatter on Twitter about how amazing the show is. After this panel I knew I had to correct my ways. Unfortunately I already know a few of the spoilers that are ahead, but I have no one to blame but myself. I started watching the first season as soon as I got back, and decided just to order them all on DVD since I got them for a good price, so as soon as Season 2 and 3 come in the mail, I will be starting those up again.
- We got to see a trailer for Season 5, and it was AH-MAZING. Those 5 minutes were basically what made me want to watch the whole series. That and Anna, Josh, and John. Also all the crying that was going on! When Lance Reddick started to cry, I thought I was going to lose it by the way he was describing his favorite scene on the show.
- Josh Jackson was hilarious. I wish I could have gotten some videos of him, but my battery was dying and I had to save it for the next panel because....
Supernatural - Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Jim Beaver, Mark A. Sheppard, Jeremy Carver, and Ben Edlund.
If there was only one panel I could go to this weekend, this one would be it. Oh my god, was I on cloud nine when I got to go! The boys were hilarious, as of course I knew they would be from seeing the various panel clips on YouTube throughout the years, but it was a million times better being there in person. I'm really mad at myself because I didn't even think about asking them a question until they announced it was time for audience Q&A's, but by that time the line was extremely long. But hey, if you guys are reading this: Why don't Sam and Dean use the Bitch/Jerk nicknames anymore? Me and my brother loved that! Did they just grow out of it? I'm super curious. Oh and also, did someone on the writing staff go to Michigan State? I love all the references that there have been, so I'm also curious about that. Kthanksbye.
- The boys will have to deal with new relationships that will come along, including Sam's new love interest.

- Dean will get out of Purgatory very soon.
- Jim was wearing a Deadwood hat, and Jared asked: "Can somebody get Jim a Supernatural hat?!" Jim mentioned that he's been trying to get one for years.
- On Bobby coming back - Jim: "It's Supernatural, anything is possible."
- Crowley will be a "Titanic issue" this season.

- Misha trying not to give anything away.

- Theme for this season is "Raiders of the Lost Arc." This year the boys are starting the season on offense and very much united in going after this "one thing." - involved in a chase for a "power source."
- There will be one over-arching mythology that will hopefully carry on for more years.

Favorite Episode Quotes:
Jeremy: When you find your sister unconscious, you call 911. / Damon: Not when you have a parade of vampires at your disposal!
Damon:Have I told you lately how much I appreciate you not being the dumbest brother on Earth?
Damon: Our life is one big proverbial coin toss.
Alaric: I’m Elena’s guardian. I thought it was strange I didn’t get a phone call.
Caroline: Do you want tea? Maybe some vodka? Both will help you sleep.
Elijah: I will not revive Klaus in yours or even your children’s lifetimes. Perhaps that will finally teach him some manners.
Damon: No! No, no, no, no. Did I mention no?
Tyler: We’ve got to travel light. So what do you need? /Caroline: Just you! Maybe a curling iron...
Damon:You know, I’m not halfway out of Virginia, and Elena sells our souls to the Originals. / Bonnie: It was her call. / Damon: You know what else was her call? Everything bad, ever.
Stefan: That’s just in case there is no later.
Matt: Sorry. I over-honeyed. I suck at tea.
Stefan: An hour’s not enough to get you back to Mystic Falls. / Damon: For us to have our epic goodbye, Stefan? / Stefan: Not us, brother. You and Elena. / Damon: Well, I guess you’ll just have to say goodbye for both of us.
Damon: Since I’m possibly a dead man, can I ask you a question? / Elena: Yeah, of course. / Damon: If it was just down to him and me, and you had to make a choice, who got the goodbye? Who would it be? / Elena: I love him, Damon. / Damon: I get it. Stefan. It’s always going to be Stefan.
Flashback Elena: It’s Mystic Falls. Nothing bad ever happens here.
Damon: You are not dead. You are not dead!

Favorite Scene: Okay it's hard to choose because there were so so so many, but I love love love the triangle between Caroline, Klaus, and Tyler, and this just makes it all the more exciting.
Caroline sobbed as she told Tyler that Klaus was killed. Tyler said: “You’re going to be fine, Caroline. Tell my mother I left town like I was supposed to.” There was some kissing involved. Then he started to feel the effects of dying and told Caroline to run away as he started to turn into a werewolf. Everyone assumed Tyler was now dead. But after Caroline left, Bonnie arrived and Tyler stepped out of the shadows. It was there that we learned that Bonnie did a spell to transfer Klaus to Tyler's body! It was actually Klaus with Caroline the whole time! Gahh!

Rebekah: You're supposed to be dead. / Alaric: I am.
Jeremy: That’s what happens when you decide to paint your dead guardian’s room in the middle of the night.
Klaus: And that is what makes you her better option. It’s a shame it’s not easier for Elena to see that. I mean, personally I think she’s wasting her time with Damon.
Damon: Hmm. Digital locator spell. Why the hell do we need you then?
Klaus: It’s OK, you’re safe. We’ll save Elena. You go straight home. You stay inside. Do you understand? Do you understand me? / Caroline: Thank you.
Damon: Why am I still alive?
Klaus: Once you’re dead, you won’t have to choose.
Klaus: But just between us girls, who would you have picked? / Elena: Rot in hell. / Klaus: You’re welcome. Sweet dreams, Elena. It’s been fun.
Tyler: I’m not your little bitch anymore.
Matt: Please, I’m more stealth than that. I’m like a ninja.
Damon: You know how these things pan out, Stefan. She’ll probably make a list of pros and cons and, at the end of the day, dump both our asses.

Favorite Episode Quotes:
Caroline: Look at them, all bromance-y.
Caroline: I’ve watched The Bachelor! Fair is fair. It is Stefan’s turn.
Damon: Alaric. You remember him, right. About 6-foot-2, tried to hack you into pieces.
Stefan: Given our dangerous dance karma, you sure you’re up for this? / Elena: Getting out of bed is dangerous these days.
Caroline: What are you doing here? If Klaus sees you... / Tyler: What’s he gonna do? Draw you another picture?
Caroline: You do not need to be jealous of Klaus! / Tyler: I am jealous. But I’m also competitive.
Stefan: I blacked out for most of this decade. Remember?
Jamie: The ex boyfriend? / Bonnie: Yeah. / Jamie: That’s not awkward at all.
Damon: Sorry to spoil your 7 minutes in heaven. We have a problem.
Klaus: One dance. I won't bite.
Caroline: Why do you always have to prove you’re the alpha male? / Klaus: I don’t have to prove anything, love. I am the alpha male.
Klaus: You mark my words: Small town boy. Small town world. It won’t be enough for you.
Klaus: Work your magic, witch. Or I’ll start killing people you fancy.
Klaus: The Salvatores and their unshakable bond. I only wonder what will happen when Elena finally makes her choice. Will we see you shake? Just a little bit?
Damon: I offered to snap his neck, put him out of his misery. But he didn’t take me up on it. / Meredith: You seem surprised. / Damon: You just think a guy so used to dying wouldn’t want to drag it out.
Damon: Apparently, my choices have been a little controversial lately.
Alaric: Is this the part where you give me a dream with rainbows and rolling green hills? / Damon: I was drunk when I told you that. / Alaric: Yeah and I told you I’d use it against you. / Damon: Damn you.
Damon: Sorry I killed you. Twice.
Damon: Drink. / Alaric: Actually I’ve been thinking about cutting back.

Alaric: What’s Klaus gonna do if he can’t find it? / Elena: It’s the only thing that’ll kill him, so... Wage war. Murder people... You know, Klaus stuff.
Damon: I like that confidence, Stefan! I don’t share it, but I like it.
Damon: Have you ever flown first class? / Elena: Who’d you have to compel for that? / Damon: Please. I used miles.
Rebekah: You’d rather dress in tacky colors with bad hair than be a classy flapper from the Jazz Age? Honestly, I don’t see what my brother sees in you. / Caroline: Maybe he sees a challenge. Well, you see, unlike some other people, I don’t sleep with everyone I come in eye-contact with.
Damon: Next time we compel him, remind me to make him better at baseball.
Jeremy: So you traveled across the country to get me to talk to a dead vampire? / Damon: Dead vampire’s redundant, but yes.
Damon: What good is you dying and coming back to life if you can’t talk to a ghost when I need you to?
Damon: Didn’t you find it weird that you’d find a friend so fast? Have you met you?

Alaric: Here I am, the failed hunter-slash-drinking buddy of vampires!
Stefan: You pretty much laid there dead for half of the night. But on the plus side, I did almost finish reading Moby Dick.
Elena: How do you know her? / Damon: You know... / Elena: Of course. / Damon: What? I said creepy, not ugly.
Kol: She was a bit of an Original groupie.

The Vampire Diaries
Season 3 Episode 16 - 1912

Summary (courtesy of The CW):
The present-day murders in Mystic Falls remind Damon of a similar crime spree a century earlier. In flashbacks to 1912, Damon recalls a beautiful vampire, Sage (guest star Cassidy Freeman), who showed him a whole new way to exist. Sheriff Forbes warns Damon not to get involved in her investigation, but Damon is convinced she's going after the wrong suspect. Elena and Matt resort to breaking and entering in their search for evidence to prove Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto) is a murderer. For reasons known only to her, Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt), becomes interested in locating one of the town's oldest landmarks. Finally, Elena comes to a new understanding of the path her life has taken, and Damon makes an emotional confession to Stefan. John Behring directed the episode written by Julie Plec & Elisabeth R. Matt: You're gonna make me run more, aren't you?
Damon: I guess I could rip out Dr. False Accusations throat. Maybe her tongue. You know, I could chew it up into little, tiny pieces and feed her to the squirrels.
Damon: Her and her mom must be really hurting right now. Should I send lasagna?
Damon: I’m mean. You hate me. The Earth is back on its axis.
Damon: Dear Diary, A chipmunk asked me my name today. I told him it was Joe. That lie will haunt me forever.
Damon: I know we don’t actually ‘hang out.’ We team up. Join forces. Activate our Wonder Twin powers...
Damon: Have you been eating the relatives again?
Stefan: I see you’re still mad at me. / Damon: Why would I still be mad at you, Stefan? You make me become a vampire, and now I walk the world alone, drinking other people’s blood.
Stefan: Ah! I get it, I get it... You’re bored. Your best friend’s in jail and you don’t have anything better to do with yourself.
Damon: Quitting blood cold-turkey after a ripper binge, probably not the best approach. Every time you play that all-or-nothing game, you eventually leave a trail of bodies. So I’m thinking now’s a good time to pay our old friend Moderation a visit.
Damon: Ooh. She-devil. Nine o’clock.
Damon: If you want more sex, just ask for it. / Rebekah: Not enough liquor in the world...
Meredith: You date vampires, Elena. It shouldn’t come as a shock to you that your guardian is a murderer.
Rebekah: Why are you so grumpy? / Damon: He’s on a master cleanse. Trying to be a better man and all. / Rebekah: You know, you were a lot more fun in the ‘20s.
Stefan: Okay. I’m freaking out. I’m ready to eat the whole wait staff. Why do you need to hear me say it?
Sage: A woman isn’t just for food. She’s for pleasure.
Damon: I got it from here. Go ahead. / Rebekah: But the night’s just getting started! / Damon: Scram. No one likes a lurker. / Rebekah: You’re a real ass! / Damon: So I’m told.
Damon: So... That’s gonna take a little time.
Matt: Sometimes it pays to be the only normal one in a town of vampires. I’m practically invisible.
Damon: Uh-uh. None of that! No more no-humanity Stefan. There’s a road called ‘recovery,’ and we are on it.

'The Vampire Diaries' PaleyFest 2012 Panel

After attending the Once Upon a Time PaleyFest panel last Sunday, I was super excited to go to The Vampire Diaries panel last night. You can read my recap from the OUAT here. It was hilarious to see the crowd applause and cheer for the same television shows on the montage of shows featured at the panel this year. Still silence for Two and a Half Men. Hmm...I wonder how ticket sales are doing for that panel...

Our moderator for the evening was Debra Birnbaum, Editor in Chief for TV Guide Magazine. I have to say, I thought Matt Mitovich did a better job at the OUAT panel. Sure her questions were good, but there were too many pauses, or she would try to interrupt the panelists at times. To start the evening, Debra introduced Executive Producer of the show, Julie Plec, who is just the sweetest thing. She announced that they were going to show us the episode that isn't supposed to air until this coming Thursday, March 15th.  The episode, called "1912," has a huge huge HUGE spoiler in it, and as Julie put it, "It's a doozy," (AND IT WAS!). Because of this, she asked that we crazy social media-ites better not ruin it for anyone not there that evening. And she had a name for it: "The Circle of trust, called the Saban Theatre." So of course whatever Julie says, I obey because she is queen, and I hate everytime something is spoiled for me, so I will NOT tell you what happens in this post. You may breathe easy. Also, you may be annoyed with me because I know something you don't mwahaha. <3 you.

After we watched the AH-MAZING episode, the panel was then introduced: Candice Accola (Caroline Forbes), Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore), Julie Plec (Executive Producer), Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore), Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert/Katherine Pierce), Matt Davis (Alaric Saltzman), and Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett).

When the panelists took their seats, we talked about the episode we just watched. The live-stream that was set up for the show, however, was not able to view this portion of the show. When the live-stream came on, and our "Circle of Trust" started Paul jokingly told our live-stream viewing audience, "You have no idea what we just alked about. Live-streamers, suck it!" Of course he was kidding, and we all laughed because we felt the same :)

The banter between everyone on the panel was fantastic. Paul made fun of Ian. Ian made fun of Paul. Everyone made fun of Matt Davis and his fan-fiction. It was great. At one point, Paul made a joke about Ian, and Ian said, "You see what I have to deal with on a daily basis?" Dude, stop complaining. I would love to deal with Paul on a daily basis. Ian said, "It's like a football team. Good game. See you in the showers."

Slight spoilers in this panel (of course non-related to the BIG one from the next episode):
-  When Julie was asked if everyone was going to survive this season, she simply answered: "I don't know."
- Damon does something soon to piss Rebekah off and she takes to torturing him, similar to the way Alaric/Klaus tortured Katherine when he made her repeatedly stab herself in the leg.
- We will see more this season about Esther and her plan to kill her children.
- Julie is asked about the return of Katherine. You can watch her answer below, as Ian tries to get a picture of the audience.
- Bonnie and Caroline will be working together a lot more the rest of the season.
- We will possibly get to see Elena's adoptive parents soon (watch below).
- A question was asked about if the writers are ever going to start following the books more closely. Julie: "We'll see."

Some of my other favorite quotes, or Q and A's from the panel:
- Ian: "Good luck. I've been killed on television before." (love the LOST reference...poor Boone).
- In a question regarding the Originals, Ian said, "These originals have an appetite for destruction." However, Elijah was quickly defended, as was Klaus by Candice, who said, "he draws horses." You can see Candice talking about the "relationship" between Klaus and Caroline below. I ship them together SO MUCH. In the video, Candice says that its interesting that "their whole relationship is based on manipulation" to which Ian replies, "Aren't all relationships based on that?" The crowd Oooo'd at that since he was sitting next to his actual girlfriend, Nina.
- There was talk about Matt Davis taking a campaign for Alaric and Elena to get together - as he told in an interview with TV Guide. When the question was asked about Elijah and Elena (or E-squared as it was called at the panel) getting together, Julie stated, "Elijah has to get in line behind Alaric." / Matt: "Thank you." / Nina: "Inappropriate!"
- Julie: "Damon is no more good, than Stefan is evil."
- Regarding Team Salvatore, Paul responds with a lisp: "They're like soulmates." There was a cute high-five between Paul and Ian, and then they did a fist bump when Ian said, "Ring power!" Ian said that he tried to steal a ring to bring a show us, but Julie said, "When [the show's] done, they're goin' to me!" According to Ian, Matt Davis is brutal when he fist bumps with his ring.
- Nina: "Can we do a Europe episode? Gossip Girl did it! They went to France, we should go to Italy."
- Ian (about the show): "No one watches now...I'm kidding." / Paul: "Is this no one?!" / Candice: "Make it up to them, take your shirt off."
- Paul talking about his wife on the show, and not knowing what "Casting Couch" meant, until he saw Ian's reaction when he asked him to "show him later." Watch the video below.
- Everyone talking about their favorite parts this season - Kat: Tyler becoming a hybrid; Matt: What is about to happen with Alaric; Nina: Same as Matt, and when Elena stabbed Rebekah in the back; Ian: Couldn't decide; Julie: It being revealed that Klaus and Stefan were once friends; Paul: Same as Julie; Candice: The reveal of the Originals, When Klaus starts to sweat, Damon and Elena's kiss, Bill Forbes' death. Candice said: "It's been a heck of a season. So much more to come."
- Paul talks about having a Forrest Gump element into the show in which Damon and Stefan show up in every major event that happened over the years.
- Audience member: "Ian, Paul, you guys are gorgeous. Well done." / Paul: "I've worked years perfecting this."
- Ian: "Luck does not come without opportunity and preparation." He then went on to talk about how he almost didn't get the part when he first auditioned.
- Candice (words of wisdom from her Dad): " No doesn't mean never. It means not yet."

See more photos I took at the panel here: http://on.fb.me/wpBWLU
I was lucky enough to get Ian and Nina's autographs in my program. So bummed I missed getting Candice's, but thankfully I already have Paul's on a poster. Phew!

Damon: I'd offer you a drink, but Katherine tells me you're more of a vampire-on-the-rocks kind of guy.
Tyler: Klaus can't be killed. I can't be fixed. Understand that I'm okay with it.
Tyler: It’s not a party, man. It’s a wake.
Caroline: You’re sired to Team Klaus now and you can’t be trusted.
Mikael: They can’t kill me. / Klaus: True. But it will make one hell of a party game.
Tyler: I’m sorry I stabbed you. It’s the only thing I could think of to get you out of there. / Caroline: Oh yeah? Not, ‘Hey Caroline. I’m worried about what might happen this evening. So maybe you should go home and watch Dancing with the Stars.’
