What to Watch (Week of 9/26)

Getting so close to having a full Fall schedule and I love it!!

AND...I've added a new aspect to my posts this week. Each show listed will also tell you which ones that should be watched live, or recorded/DVR'd/TiVo'd/watched online as soon as possible, etc. Movies will just be listed as a possibility of tuning in or not.

Monday, September 26th
Gossip Girl (The CW) 8pm (WATCH) | Season 5 premiere. Chuck Bass.
2 Broke Girls (CBS) 8:30pm  (WATCH)
Hart of Dixie (The CW) 9pm (DVR) | Series premiere. The only reason this is DVR'd for me is because I already watched the pilot episode FREE from iTunes :)
Terra Nova (Fox) 8pm (DVR) | Two-hour series premiere. I don't plan on watching this show, but might tune in for the premiere.

Tuesday, September 27th
Glee (Fox) 8pm (WATCH)
New Girl (Fox) 9pm (WATCH)
Ringer (The CW) 9pm (DVR) | I've been wrestling with watching this or New Girl and decided that DVR'ing it will let me start it at 9:30pm and be practically caught up by the end for no spoilers.

Wednesday, September 28th
Suburgatory (ABC) 8:30pm (WATCH) | Series premiere. I don't plan on watching this show, but I'm going to tune in since I have an opening in my schedule.
Modern Family (ABC) 9pm (WATCH)
CSI (CBS) 10pm (WATCH)
Law & Order: SVU (NBC) 10pm (DVR)

Thursday, September 29th
The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 8pm (DVR)
The Vampire Diaries (The CW) 8pm (WATCH) | Flashbacks to Stefan in the 20s? Obviously I'm watching this!

Grey's Anatomy (ABC) 9pm (DVR)
The Office (NBC) 9pm (DVR)
The Mentalist (CBS) 10pm (WATCH)

Friday, September 30th

CSI:NY (CBS) 9pm (DVR)

Saturday, October 1st - I can't believe its going to be October already!
Michigan State at Ohio State Football (ABC) 3:30pm (WATCH) | Go Green! If you don't know who I'm rooting for by now, then you don't know me at all again!
Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl (ABCFam)  8pm | The best of the franchise.
He's Just Not That Into You (USA) 8:30pm | Pros: Jennifer Aniston/Ben Affleck relationship; Justin Long/Ginnifer Goodwin relationship; Cons: Jennifer Connelly/Bradley Cooper/Scarlett Johannson/Kevin Connolly/Drew Barrymore relationship. So its up to you to decide.

Sunday, October 2nd
Prohibition (PBS) 8pm (WATCH) | Part 1 of 3. Ken Burns' history of the prohibition era (1920-33).

What to Watch (Week of 9/19)

Before I get into this week's TV schedule, I want to talk a little bit about last night's award show.

So, of course I watched the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards last night. And though there were some odd moments (umm...who came up with the Emmytones idea?), overall I thought the night went okay. Jane Lynch did a great job in my opinion (though her opening segment was lacking), but her one-liners were hilarious. I'm just going to do a quick run-though of only those I was happy to see win. For a complete list you can check out Emmys 2011: And the Winner Are... - TV.com
-Modern Family really cleaned up with five awards including Best Supporting Actress Comedy - Julie Bowen; Best Supporting Actor Comedy - Ty Burrell; Outstanding Directing for Comedy Series; Outstanding Writing for Comedy Series; Best Comedy Series
-Jim Parsons won Best Actor Comedy for The Big Bang Theory, which I was so happy about. BBT has become one of my favorite sitcoms (along with Modern Family of course).
-Though I don't watch Mike & Molly, I was happy to see Melissa McCarthy take home Best Actress Comedy (and the pageant-like ceremony Amy Poehler kicked-off was hilarious).
-And Kate Winslet seems to be going for the EGOT1 with her win as Best Actress Miniseries/Movie for Mildrid Pierce. All she needs now is the Tony (calling Broadway!).
-Couple other quick notes include: Margo Martindale (Justified) - Best Supporting Actress Drama; Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) - Best Actor Drama; Guy Pearce (Mildred Pierce) - Best Supporting Actor Miniseries/Movie.

In other news, here are my choice for TV I'll be watching this week. I'm so incredibly happy that my weeks a head will be filling up even more!!

Monday, September 19th
Two and a Half Men (CBS) 9pm | Season premiere. I don't usually watch this show, but I want to see how Ashton Kutcher does.
Bring It On (movie) (ABCFam) 9pm | Hands down best movie of the franchise. Hilarious. Also, I know all the cheers :)
2 Broke Girls (CBS) 9:30pm | Special time for premiere. Will be regularly scheduled at 8:30pm.

Tuesday, September 20th
Glee (Fox) 8pm | Season 3 premiere.
New Girl (Fox) 9pm | Series premiere. If you haven't yet, and want to watch the pilot a day early click here.
Ringer (The CW) 9pm

Fall 2011 TV Premieres

I looked up as many Fall 2011 TV Premiere dates I could find and created a calendar with new and current shows. The shows highlighted in purple are those I plan on watching. That doesn't mean I won't pick up any of the other shows, and doesn't mean I won't drop any of them after watching a couple episodes. Feel free to give me any suggestions if you see I don't have your favorite show highlighted. Click on the images to see them enlarged.
