I'm on vacay this week! Yay! My family is visiting from Michigan, and I will be spending the week with them, so I am actually a bit glad that The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural aren't new this week. Sam: Either of you ever heard of Thighslapper Ale? / Garth: Is that a stripper or a beverage? / Dean: Beverage for douchebags.
Garth: I feel bad for those brewery dudes. You spend your life beautifying the world through beer. First a partner offs himself. Now two kids get ganked by unknown freak-a-deek.
Dean: Beer’s not food, it’s whatever water is.
Sam: Can you even get drunk anymore? It’s kind of like drinking a vitamin for you, right?
Sam: So he let that thing out of the box and it must’ve just followed him to the place with all the thingies. / Dean: Yes. Yes, that’s smart.
Dean: You have a CEO of the douchiest microbrew in the U.S. gagged in your hot tub. You really think that’s gonna end well?
Dean: If it was Bobby, he would let us know. I mean, who knows more about being a ghost than Bobby? Instant Swayze, right?
Dean: So your theory is that we’re practically regular people about something for once.
Bobby: I’m right here, ya idjit....Balls.

Meg: You’re an angel. / Emanuel: I’m sorry, is that a flirtation?
Dean: I’m sure it’s just like riding a bike. / Emanuel: I don’t know how to do that either.

Joyce Bicklebee: We have a chain of command here, George. You see a Winchester, you don’t eat him. You tell me and I eat him.

Joyce: I am gonna enjoy picking you out of my teeth.
George: I am dying to know what that bitch tastes like.

The Vampire Diaries
Season 3 Episode 16 - 1912

Summary (courtesy of The CW):
The present-day murders in Mystic Falls remind Damon of a similar crime spree a century earlier. Sheriff Forbes warns Damon not to get involved in her investigation, but Damon is convinced she's going after the wrong suspect. Elena and Matt resort to breaking and entering in their search for evidence to prove Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto) is a murderer. For reasons known only to her, Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt), becomes interested in locating one of the town's oldest landmarks. Finally, Elena comes to a new understanding of the path her life has taken, and Damon makes an emotional confession to Stefan. John Behring directed the episode written by Julie Plec & Elisabeth R. Finch.

Matt: You're gonna make me run more, aren't you?
Damon: I guess I could rip out Dr. False Accusations throat. Maybe her tongue. You know, I could chew it up into little, tiny pieces and feed her to the squirrels.
Damon: Her and her mom must be really hurting right now. Should I send lasagna?
Damon: I’m mean. You hate me. The Earth is back on its axis.
Damon: Dear Diary, A chipmunk asked me my name today. I told him it was Joe. That lie will haunt me forever.
Damon: I know we don’t actually ‘hang out.’ We team up. Join forces. Activate our Wonder Twin powers...
Damon: Have you been eating the relatives again?
Stefan: I see you’re still mad at me. / Damon: Why would I still be mad at you, Stefan? You make me become a vampire, and now I walk the world alone, drinking other people’s blood.
Stefan: Ah! I get it, I get it... You’re bored. Your best friend’s in jail and you don’t have anything better to do with yourself.
Damon: Quitting blood cold-turkey after a ripper binge, probably not the best approach. Every time you play that all-or-nothing game, you eventually leave a trail of bodies. So I’m thinking now’s a good time to pay our old friend Moderation a visit.
Damon: Ooh. She-devil. Nine o’clock.
Damon: If you want more sex, just ask for it. / Rebekah: Not enough liquor in the world...
Meredith: You date vampires, Elena. It shouldn’t come as a shock to you that your guardian is a murderer.
Rebekah: Why are you so grumpy? / Damon: He’s on a master cleanse. Trying to be a better man and all. / Rebekah: You know, you were a lot more fun in the ‘20s.
Stefan: Okay. I’m freaking out. I’m ready to eat the whole wait staff. Why do you need to hear me say it?
Sage: A woman isn’t just for food. She’s for pleasure.
Damon: I got it from here. Go ahead. / Rebekah: But the night’s just getting started! / Damon: Scram. No one likes a lurker. / Rebekah: You’re a real ass! / Damon: So I’m told.
Damon: So... That’s gonna take a little time.
Matt: Sometimes it pays to be the only normal one in a town of vampires. I’m practically invisible.
Damon: Uh-uh. None of that! No more no-humanity Stefan. There’s a road called ‘recovery,’ and we are on it.

'The Vampire Diaries' PaleyFest 2012 Panel

After attending the Once Upon a Time PaleyFest panel last Sunday, I was super excited to go to The Vampire Diaries panel last night. You can read my recap from the OUAT here. It was hilarious to see the crowd applause and cheer for the same television shows on the montage of shows featured at the panel this year. Still silence for Two and a Half Men. Hmm...I wonder how ticket sales are doing for that panel...

Our moderator for the evening was Debra Birnbaum, Editor in Chief for TV Guide Magazine. I have to say, I thought Matt Mitovich did a better job at the OUAT panel. Sure her questions were good, but there were too many pauses, or she would try to interrupt the panelists at times. To start the evening, Debra introduced Executive Producer of the show, Julie Plec, who is just the sweetest thing. She announced that they were going to show us the episode that isn't supposed to air until this coming Thursday, March 15th.  The episode, called "1912," has a huge huge HUGE spoiler in it, and as Julie put it, "It's a doozy," (AND IT WAS!). Because of this, she asked that we crazy social media-ites better not ruin it for anyone not there that evening. And she had a name for it: "The Circle of trust, called the Saban Theatre." So of course whatever Julie says, I obey because she is queen, and I hate everytime something is spoiled for me, so I will NOT tell you what happens in this post. You may breathe easy. Also, you may be annoyed with me because I know something you don't mwahaha. <3 you.

After we watched the AH-MAZING episode, the panel was then introduced: Candice Accola (Caroline Forbes), Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore), Julie Plec (Executive Producer), Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore), Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert/Katherine Pierce), Matt Davis (Alaric Saltzman), and Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett).

When the panelists took their seats, we talked about the episode we just watched. The live-stream that was set up for the show, however, was not able to view this portion of the show. When the live-stream came on, and our "Circle of Trust" started Paul jokingly told our live-stream viewing audience, "You have no idea what we just alked about. Live-streamers, suck it!" Of course he was kidding, and we all laughed because we felt the same :)

The banter between everyone on the panel was fantastic. Paul made fun of Ian. Ian made fun of Paul. Everyone made fun of Matt Davis and his fan-fiction. It was great. At one point, Paul made a joke about Ian, and Ian said, "You see what I have to deal with on a daily basis?" Dude, stop complaining. I would love to deal with Paul on a daily basis. Ian said, "It's like a football team. Good game. See you in the showers."

Slight spoilers in this panel (of course non-related to the BIG one from the next episode):
-  When Julie was asked if everyone was going to survive this season, she simply answered: "I don't know."
- Damon does something soon to piss Rebekah off and she takes to torturing him, similar to the way Alaric/Klaus tortured Katherine when he made her repeatedly stab herself in the leg.
- We will see more this season about Esther and her plan to kill her children.
- Julie is asked about the return of Katherine. You can watch her answer below, as Ian tries to get a picture of the audience.
- Bonnie and Caroline will be working together a lot more the rest of the season.
- We will possibly get to see Elena's adoptive parents soon (watch below).
- A question was asked about if the writers are ever going to start following the books more closely. Julie: "We'll see."

Some of my other favorite quotes, or Q and A's from the panel:
- Ian: "Good luck. I've been killed on television before." (love the LOST reference...poor Boone).
- In a question regarding the Originals, Ian said, "These originals have an appetite for destruction." However, Elijah was quickly defended, as was Klaus by Candice, who said, "he draws horses." You can see Candice talking about the "relationship" between Klaus and Caroline below. I ship them together SO MUCH. In the video, Candice says that its interesting that "their whole relationship is based on manipulation" to which Ian replies, "Aren't all relationships based on that?" The crowd Oooo'd at that since he was sitting next to his actual girlfriend, Nina.
- There was talk about Matt Davis taking a campaign for Alaric and Elena to get together - as he told in an interview with TV Guide. When the question was asked about Elijah and Elena (or E-squared as it was called at the panel) getting together, Julie stated, "Elijah has to get in line behind Alaric." / Matt: "Thank you." / Nina: "Inappropriate!"
- Julie: "Damon is no more good, than Stefan is evil."
- Regarding Team Salvatore, Paul responds with a lisp: "They're like soulmates." There was a cute high-five between Paul and Ian, and then they did a fist bump when Ian said, "Ring power!" Ian said that he tried to steal a ring to bring a show us, but Julie said, "When [the show's] done, they're goin' to me!" According to Ian, Matt Davis is brutal when he fist bumps with his ring.
- Nina: "Can we do a Europe episode? Gossip Girl did it! They went to France, we should go to Italy."
- Ian (about the show): "No one watches now...I'm kidding." / Paul: "Is this no one?!" / Candice: "Make it up to them, take your shirt off."
- Paul talking about his wife on the show, and not knowing what "Casting Couch" meant, until he saw Ian's reaction when he asked him to "show him later." Watch the video below.
- Everyone talking about their favorite parts this season - Kat: Tyler becoming a hybrid; Matt: What is about to happen with Alaric; Nina: Same as Matt, and when Elena stabbed Rebekah in the back; Ian: Couldn't decide; Julie: It being revealed that Klaus and Stefan were once friends; Paul: Same as Julie; Candice: The reveal of the Originals, When Klaus starts to sweat, Damon and Elena's kiss, Bill Forbes' death. Candice said: "It's been a heck of a season. So much more to come."
- Paul talks about having a Forrest Gump element into the show in which Damon and Stefan show up in every major event that happened over the years.
- Audience member: "Ian, Paul, you guys are gorgeous. Well done." / Paul: "I've worked years perfecting this."
- Ian: "Luck does not come without opportunity and preparation." He then went on to talk about how he almost didn't get the part when he first auditioned.
- Candice (words of wisdom from her Dad): " No doesn't mean never. It means not yet."

I was lucky enough to get Ian and Nina's autographs in my program. So bummed I missed getting Candice's, but thankfully I already have Paul's on a poster. Phew!

What to Watch (Week of 3/5)

Only a couple weeks now until my TV shows come back from break. And by that I mean The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural. Its also getting to be close to that time of year when shows get renewed, if they haven't been already. I've been following as many "scorecards" as I can to figure out what its looking like for my TV shows, and for the most part its looking good. Except for a select few I am sad about. See TV Guide's Fall 2012 Scorecard here.

'Once Upon a Time' PaleyFest 2012 Panel

This afternoon I had the chance to attend the Once Upon a Time PaleyFest panel and it was fantastic. The panel started out with a quick montage of the television series' that will be featured at PaleyFest this year and most of them got applause and 'whoots' from the crowd except for Two and a Half Men haha. Then we were shown a clip from the "Paley Archives" that would be relevant to our upcoming panel - ours happened to be a scene from Buffy: The Vampire Slayer in which Fairytale Monsters were attacking Sunnydale. You can see a quick clip of the scene that I found on YouTube here. It's not very good quality, but you'll get the gist - very funny.

Next, our moderator, Matt Mitovich of TVLine was introduced. Matt did a phenomenal job as moderator. He asked just the right questions. Matt then introduced show creators (also Writers and Producers of LOST) Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. The guys introduced our video viewing pleasure for the evening, which consisted of tonight's full episode, "Dreamy" and a ten minute clip for next week's episode called,  "Red-Handed" (which looks good from those first ten minutes). In "Red-Handed" we are going to find our the identity of the Big Bad Wolf..."but not in these ten minutes" we were told. And we didn't.

The panel was then introduced: Raphael Sbarge (Archie Hopper/Jiminy Cricket), Robert Carlyle (Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin), Lana Parrilla (Regina Mills/Evil Queen), Steve Pearlman (Executive Producer), Horowitz, Kitsis, Ginnifer Goodwin (Mary Margaret Blanchard/Snow White), Josh Dallas (David Nolan/Prince Charming), and Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan).

To start off the panel, our moderator discussed some of the "numbers" Once Upon a Time is bringing in. You can see a video of that below. Matt then talked about the LOST references in the episodes so far, and there happened to be one in tonight's episode. *Hint: It has to do with the candles.  Horowitz and Kitsis then went on mention that all the cast was actually their first choices, which never happens. They said they were thrilled that who they wrote the characters for is playing them. Segway-ing into that, Robert Carlyle was asked how he got into character, and he stated that he partly used his six year old son for inspiration, especially in the way he talks as Rumplestiltskin. He also said that it takes two hours to get his makeup on, and one hour to get it off. For Ginnifer, while reading the script, "I was on page ten, and I was like she's wielding a sword? I'll take it!"

Kitsis was very funny throughout the panel, joking about hints being dropped throughout episodes on how to break the curse. "Perhaps we already have...take that." Ginnifer adds that "what breaks the curse makes perfect sense." You can watch a quick clip of that below. Then of course I had to get a video of Josh when he was being interview about what's in store for David! And he winks in it! Money shot - watch below.

Slight spoilers in this panel included:

- Archie's next patients, namely David and Mr. Gold, and in Fairytale land, "Jiminy will be leading an intervention." As Josh stated, "David has a lot of problems."
- The panel also talked about the big scene between Regina and Mr. Gold not to long ago when they had a showdown about their names. There will be more frank talk between the two, and they will be speaking out in the open from now on.
- Before the finale we will find out who August is, what he is doing in Storybrooke, etc. I luckily caught this on video (view below) as Matt asks if they can rule out if he is Henry grown up, to which Kitsis reponds, "Who said that?...Can we re-shoot anything?" I personally never thought of that theory, but it is fantastic! Mine is that he is one of the Grimm brothers or a descendant of. Just putting it out into the world. Kitsis and Horowitz's final response was, "Lot of theories out there, someone's got it right."
- What Snow White did to make the Evil Queen so mad is addressed this season, and according to Ginnifer is "coming soon-ish."
- The show will also be picking up again after Snow White drank the forgetting potion. (YAY!).
- As we already knew, Barbara Hershey is coming on to play the Evil Queen's mother, and Lana said that there is a bit of a Beaches vibe to it.
- Regarding The Little Mermaid reference from a few episodes ago: "We would love to tell the story of Ariel and The Little Mermaid, but that will be Season 2." To which Lana replied: "Can I turn into Ursela at some point?" I for one would love to the The Little Mermaid worked into this show. It is my favorite Disney Princess story.
- Jamie Dornan (aka Sheriff Graham/Huntsman) will likely be coming back as "he is still very much alive in Fairytale land." YAY!
- Maleficent will of course be back at some point.

Some favorite questions and answers of the panel include:
Matt: "Is Pinocchio coming to Storybrooke? Is he a mailbox or something?"
Matt: "How is Vancouver treating you weather-wise?" / Jennifer: "It's cold and wet."
Audience Member: "If you could play another character on the show, who would it be?" / Jennifer: "Prince Charming." / Josh: "Rumple" / Ginnifer: "Henry" / Raphael: "Evil Queen".
An audience member asked about there being a musical episode. / Ginnifer: "Josh can sing 'Rumor Has It'. / Josh: "Not right now."
An audience member thanked Josh for moving her 12 year old granddaughter on from that Justin Bieber. Haha. It was hilarious, and he was laughing so hard at that, I wish I got it on video.

See more photos I took at the panel here: http://on.fb.me/wpBWLU
I was lucky enough to get Josh and Ginnifer's autographs in my program

And a great ending to the panel was a quote from Kitsis where he said, "If you don't have dreams, than what's the point. Go get them!"
